Chabad camp offers fun, culture

As campers sat cross-legged on the floor of Chabad of Bradenton looking at photos of themselves at Camp Gan Israel last week, they let out squeals of delight.

Their favorite excursion? — “Legoland” they shouted.

At Camp Gan Israel, which ran from July 18 to July 22, campers learned about their Jewish heritage and culture through activities, games and lessons. They spent Thursday, July 21, at Legoland, before returning home and making challah bread for Shabbat with their families Friday night.
