Manatee County will offer residents an insider’s view to land-use and growth management tonight.

Experts from University of Florida’s Center for Building Better Communities will present at 6 p.m. at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, 1 Haben Blvd., Palmetto. They will discuss growth management and common issues raised by many fast-growing communities.

“This is training we usually provide for planning commissioners and staff,” Manatee County Planning Official John Osborn said, noting the presentation has been condensed for tonight’s presentation. “We thought, why don’t we make it available for anyone who wants to come? People come fro all over to move and live in Manatee county and sometimes they think the land use rules are the same as back home and that’s not the case.”
