The Lakewood Ranch boys basketball team is moving on after beating North Port 74-61 in the Class 7A-Region 3 quarterfinals Feb. 11.Â
Guards Sam Hester and Damien Gordon both put up 15 points for Lakewood. Forward Jack Kelley added nine points and guard Bleauvelt Georges contributed eight points.Â
With the win, the Mustangs will host Fort Myers Riverdale, a 57-50 winner over Palmetto, in the regional semifinals Feb. 16.Â
