The Lakewood Ranch girls and Sarasota boys track and field teams walked away with Class 4A-District 8 championships April 20, at Booker High.Â
The Mustangs scored 199 points to top Riverview, which finished second with 114 points. Sarasota was fourth with 68 points.Â
On the boys side, the Sailors scored 126 points to beat Lakewood Ranch, which finished second with 115 points. Riveview was fifth with 79 points.Â
The top four finishers in each event will advance to the Class 4A-Region 2 meet April 30, in Kissimmee.Â
