The Sarasota Christian baseball team scored nine unanswered runs en route to a 10-1 victory versus Gulf Coast HEAT in the Class 2A-District 6 semifinals April 19.Â
Junior Jordan Schmucker earned the win on the mound for the Blazers, allowing one run on six hits. He also hit a home run and drove in a pair of runs.Â
Senior Blake Schlabach had three RBI and Cameron Carmona added a RBI.Â
With the win, Sarasota Christian will advance to the district championship against Seacrest Country Day April 21.Â
