The Cardinal Mooney High volleyball team won the second set, but was unable to hold off Venice down the stretch, as the host Lady Cougars fell to the Lady Indians 19-25, 25-20, 19-25, 20-25 in a non-district match Sept. 23.
Senior outside hitter Keri McMahon finished with 16 kills, nine digs, a block and an ace to power Cardinal Mooney. Junior setter Annie Shaw dished out 37 assists to go along with four aces, one dig and one block. Sophia Hebda added six kills, three blocks and two digs.
