Braden River High School students blacked out the home side of the field during the East County rivalry game Friday.
All the students wore black shirts in support of the Pirates. But, Lakewood Ranch High School students met their opponents with the opposite color — Mustang supporters wore white. Fans shouted different chants across the field at their opponents throughout the game. Some Pirates were just excited the weather cleared away when the game started. At one time, the Braden River student section got everyone chanting "it's not raining."
