On your mark, get set... Boo!

Attendees of the Oct. 31 Boo Run, held on Lakewood Ranch Main Street, walked, jogged and ran the 5k, which wrapped around Lakewood Ranch Main Street and down Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Some participants sported their Halloween costumes, which ranged from superhero capes to orange tutus and minion outfits.

Event organizer Jennifer Tullio said 1,044 people participated in the 5k and the Boo Dash during the 12th annual Lakewood Ranch Running Club event.

Proceeds from the event benefited Tullio's organization, Another Day for Gray.
