Village Idiots party on Main Street

The bicycling club met after its final night ride of the season.

Last night, Idiots filled a corner of Lakewood Ranch Main Street... the Village Idiots, that is.

The Lakewood Ranch-based bicycling group came together for Halloween-themed fun Wednesday night after its final evening ride of the season. The group ends its 6 p.m. weekday rides because of the time change and will start up again in March. It's been their tradition to have a party at the start and end each year, President Paul Troyer said. 

Some riders added a wig to their bicycling gear, but others went all out. Linda Dabbiero of GreyHawk Landing and Christy Milkovich of Braden Woods dressed up as packaged Barbies — with a message of positive body image on their boxes reading "strong is the new skinny."
