Annual Celebration of the Arts

The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County held their annual honoring of local arts organizations and advocates at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.

The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County held its Annual Celebration of the Arts at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall last night. Artists and arts advocates representing over 30 local arts organizations arrived and enjoyed drinks food and performances by Gloria Musicae, the Players Theatre, the Venice Theatre and Asolo Repertory Theatre. In between the performances, the Alliance awarded its annual Tourist Development Cultural/Arts Grants and art leadership awards. This year's batch of honorees include Pines of Sarasota, Wendy Surkis, Roseanne McCabe, Alyson Rozier, Joseph McKenna, Herman Frankel, Dolly Jacobs and Bruce Rodgers.
