It was thousands of attendees that Schroeder-Manatee Ranch wanted and that's what the developer received at the biggest birthday bash in East County, Oct. 23.
To honor Lakewood Ranch's 20th anniversary, while offering an event that catered to families, SMR hosted a three-hour outdoor celebration filled with games, a variety of food, from barbecue to seafood, live music by Koko Ray and the Keepers, pumpkin decorating and other activities spread across Premier Sports Campus.
The kid's zone featured rides and interactive events, such as inflatable objects in which participants could lay and be rolled around the lawn.
The celebration generated nonperishable item donations for Meals on Wheels PLUS.
