St. Mary has a spooky good time

Members of the St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church reunited for the first time after summer at the Women’s Guild’s Halloween-themed welcome back luncheon Oct. 20.

Pat Spencer, Kathy Holehouse and Janet DeAngelo, of Christ Child Society of Sarasota, spoke at the event about the organization, which serves at-risk children in the area. Women brought diapers to donate to the charity.

“It’s a wonderful cause, and it needs to be well-funded by those of us who can help,” Women’s Guild President Eileen Hassel said.
