In the shade of trees on a sunny Sunday afternoon, guests enjoyed a picnic in Hudson Bayou to catch up with neighbors.
More than 100 residents gathered at the cleared lot on the corner of Citrus Avenue and Bahia Vista Street. The event was hosted by the Hudson Bayou Neighborhood Association with some food catered by Alday's BBQ.Â
Everyone in attendance was also encouraged to bring either a hot dish or dessert. All of the contributions were entered into a contest. The winners this year were Barbara May for best side dish with macaroni and cheese. The winner for best dessert was Marcia Christ with a cannoli cream dip.Â
