Amid a sea of tulle guests showed support for the Sarasota Ballet with Tea & Tutus Saturday afternoon at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.Â
The sold-out crowd was invited to don their ballet best, which for many included their own tutus, to enjoy a private performance from Sarasota Ballet Company dancers. Following the performance there was a surprise invitation to children in the audience to join dancers on stage.Â
After practicing one stage and in the spotlight, guests enjoyed afternoon tea in the lobby for mezzanine seating. Tea was served with an assortment of sandwiches to please all palates including heart-shaped, peanut butter and jelly tea sandwiches.Â
