The Sarasota Police Department has reopened Mound Street after a single-vehicle crash coated the roadway in oil and gasoline.
Officers believe alcohol may have been a factor when an unidentified man drove his 2004 BMW over the median and into a palm tree after 2:30 a.m. today, near the U.S. 41/U.S. 301 split.
