Bernanke gives economic forecast to close Town Hall 2015

The Ringling College LibraryAssociation closed out the 2015 Town Hall lecture series with speaker Ben Bernanke. The former chairmen of the Federal Reserve and current fellow at the Brookings Institution, gave his side of the story about what he refers to as the “Lehman Weekend” when Lehman Brothers Holding inc. filled for bankruptcy in Sept. 2008. He explained the decisions government lending intiative the Trouble Assett Relief Progam and how it helped stabilize banks during the thick of the recession. To conclude, Bernanke sat down with Brian Westbury for a Q &A with audience-submitted questions.
