Families and neighbors came out to enjoy sunshine, music and activities at the 9th annual Springfest March 7 near Sawyer Loop Road. Festivities kicked off early in the morning with a 5K and 12K for local runners to participate.
The free family festival opened up shortly after with business vendors, music, crafts and egg hunts families to enjoy. An obstacle course for children was hosted by the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office included lifting a tire, crawling and a rope climb.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Sheriff's Activities League youth programs.
