Campers bring Shrek's tale to life

Lakewood Ranch High School's annual Acting Up Performing Arts Camp ended June 25 with end-of-camp performances of "Shrek, Jr."

Ogres, bears, gingerbread men and a slew of fairytale characters took the stage June 25, at Lakewood Ranch High School, as more than 50 children wrapped up the three-week Acting Up Performing Arts Camp with end-of-camp performances of "Shrek The Musical Jr." The show tells the story of how Shrek, an ogre, falls in love with Princess Fiona and how he comes to embrace his individuality.
