MONDAY, JULY 13
The Summer Chef Jam series, presented by Edible Sarasota and Chefs2U, continues at the Shamrock Pub.
This week’s featured restaurant is Mattison's Forty-One, which will serve Mediteranean ceviche
paired with Big Top Trapeze Monk Blegian style wi; roast duck confit flatbread paired with Big Top Key Lime wheat; and local pork short ribs with parsnip mash paired with Darwin's Llama Mama sweet milk stout.
TUESDAY, JULY 14

This week's theme is a two-mile race and pace. A pacer leads the pack for the first mile, and runners can't pass him or her until after the halfway point. Make your own peanut butter and jelly sandwich after the race.

The newly formed Starlite Players presents this evening of comedy shorts upstairs at the Starlite Room.
The production, which runs through July 18, will feature "A Line of Malarkey," by Larry Parr, "Customer Service," by Phil Hall, "Penitents," by Jack Gilhooly, "Thanks for the Memories," by Marvin Albert and "No Sugar," by Phil Hall.
THURSDAY, JULY 16
The West Coast Black Theatre reprises its debut show from 2000, the "Cotton Club Cabaret."
This high spirited musical revue features favorite songs from the Harlem Renaissance era, by entertainers such as Fats Waller, Ethel Waters, Cab Calloway, Josephine Baker, Louis Armstrong and Lena Horne.
FRIDAY, JULY 17
Acclaimed standup comedian Ben Bailey is the most desired cabbie in New York. Host of the highly successful shows "Cash Cab" and "Cash Cab: After Dark" on the Discovery Channel, he's been featured in publications such as Entertainment Weekly, People Magazine and the New York Post.
Now, catch him out of the cab and onstage at McCurdy's in Sarasota.
SATURDAY, JULY 18
Join Mandeville Beer Garden staff for an evening of barrel-aged beers, barbecue and cigars.
The beer garden will have flights of barrel-aged beers, barbecue pork sliders and cigars available to purchase and pair with your beers.
