The Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Auxiliary has lent its support to non-profits assisting children by providing three organizations with $20,000 in grants.

The auxiliary has awarded $10,000 to Feeding Empty Little Tummies, $5,000 to Meals on Wheels Plus of Manatee and $5,000 to Guardian Angels of Southwest Florida.

“We are proud to support organizations that support needy people with food and shelter and especially help children find their way as families struggle to adapt in this time of need,” Auxiliary President Virginia Orenstein said. “We know these three organizations will use the money wisely because of their history of achievement of their missions and we urge others to support them as well.”

The auxiliary is an all-volunteer organization that supports the nutrition and well-being of children and families in Manatee County.
