Manatee County residents headed to the Bradenton Area Convention Center this weekend for the first countywide Pet Adopt-a-Palooza event Aug. 1 through Aug. 2.
More than 100 pets were available for adoption on site at the event, which included raffles, pet services, a search-and-rescue demonstration by the Peace River Search and Rescue and a flyable tournament, among other festivities.
