Cancer survivors listened to testimonials before the walk.
Jim Halley, an 81-year-old melanoma survivor, gave a testimonial. A former Horseshoe Cove resident, Halley drove from Dayton, Ohio, to honor his wife, Kay, who died of breast cancer in 2009.
George Quinn, a Canadian snowbird and Horseshoe Cove part-time resident, sang, “On the Sunny Side of the Street.â€
