The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners today approved a proposal by M/I Homes to construct 112 townhomes in the Creekwood community.
The 20-acre site is located behind the Creekwood Commons shopping plaza, which is home to Lowe's, off State Road 70, just west of Interstate 75.
The property previously was approved to house office space.
