County hosts 'Community Field Day'

"Community Field Day: A Rx for Reducing Community Crime" is a free grass-roots event wich will be held Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex.

The event is oriented toward fostering relationships between youths in the community and law enforcement, firefighters, and others serving in public safety roles. Youths ages 5 to 18 will get to play basketball and kickball games.

Several Community groups and organizations including Enough is Enough, Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC), and the Florida Clinical Research Center will provide information about efforts to reduce community violence and increase public heath.
