The Lakewood Ranch High boys golf team, which captured the Class 2A state championship Nov. 1-2, received a proclamation from the Manatee County Commission Jan. 24.
Commissioner Michael Gallen, who used to teach social studies at Lakewood, presented the team with the honor.
