Authorities are seeking information regarding an incident that occurred in the parking lot of a Dollar General store on University Parkway.

A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report states a suspect attempted to force his way into the vehicle of Bradenton’s Clay Cundiff, 30, as the Cundiff’s vehicle was backing out of a parking space at the Dollar General store in the 5400 block of University Parkway.

The suspect was wearing a utility knife on his belt, which he had his hand on as he attempted to get into the vehicle. The suspect did not pull the knife out or use it in a threatening manner, but the victim became fearful because of the suspect’s aggressive actions. Cundiff sped away and called 911, the report states.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-634-8477.
