Dr. Janet Whitlock was surprised by all the people who were in the hospital to greet her and wish her a happy birthday and congratulate her on 30 years as a veterinarian at Beneva Animal Hospital.

The cake, as well as all the food and beverages, was in an examination room and according to the scale weighed in at almost 13 lbs.

Dr. Janet Whitlock talks with Marilyn Rhein and Gaige Walters Thursday, Oct. 20 inside the hospital. Walters sold the property to Whitlock a little over 30 years ago and wanted to show her the documentation he had kept on the sale.
