Manatee commission considers sign ordinance

The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners will meet Tuesday to discuss a proposed sign ordinance, among other items.

The meeting, which will be held at 9 a.m., May 10 at the county administrative building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, also will include a presentation by the Palmetto Crew, the county's new high school rowing team.

Tuesday's meeting will be the first of two public meetings for the proposed sign ordinance, which creates new sign definitions and regulations, among other standards.
