Wave Runners post impressive finishes

Thirty members of the Lakewood Ranch YMCA Wave Runners swim team swam more than 165 events at the Area 3/5 Championship Swim Meet March 19-20 in Sarasota.

Sebastian Aguirre recorded four new short course FLAGS cuts, setting personal bests and winning three of his four races.

Other individual top 10 finishers include: Kevin Berkenbusch, Alexia Austin, Maya McCarthy, Dara Dawson, Sydney Cusick, Olivia Benson, Rebekah Spiegelman, Courtney Chapin, Sydney Panzarino, Shannon McCarthy, Wagner Hunter and Amelia Skoumal.
