Even in the 96-degree weather with no umbrellas or shady trees, eight little do-gooders set out to raise money for The Humane Society of Sarasota County.

With their lemons, cookies, posters and beaded necklaces ready to go June 22, they flagged down anyone who walked, ran or drove through their neighborhood and sold them lemonade. The crew raised $96.
