As Thanksgiving approaches, the Mixons are doing some party hosting this weekend and are inviting the public to their second home — their farm.

Mixon Fruit Farms is hosting its annual Harvest Festival from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 and Sunday, Nov. 23. Cost is $3 for individuals ages 13 and older or two tickets for $5.

The East County farm, located at 2525 27th St. E., Bradenton, will feature a range of live entertainment for viewers, such as a new tiger and elephant show presented by the Loomis Brother's Circus.

The event will feature six tigers and three elephants, which will perform various acts and stunts during three 30-minute shows at 10 a.m., noon and 3 p.m., Saturday.

Local orchestras, choirs and dace teams will also perform throughout the two-day event this weekend.
