Tower Residences property sells for $5.5 million

Condo unit on Watergate Drive is the top-seller for the week of Jan. 31-Feb. 4 in the Sarasota-Siesta Key area.

A condominium in The Tower Residences tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Bernard and Maureen Walsh, of Longwood, sold their Unit 1701 condominium at 35 Watergate Drive to Anthony Franke and Barbara Franke, trustees, of Sarasota, for $5.5 million. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths and 5,251 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $4.75 million in 2006.

SARASOTA

Badger Heights

Celesta and Rebecca Tharpe, of Winter Park, sold their home at 1871 Loma Linda St. to Jeffrey marks, trustee, of Sarasota, for $3.1 million. Built in 2017, it has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,253 square feet of living area.

Johnson Estate

Asim and Isa Chauhan, of Sarasota, sold their home at 1649 Quail Drive to Mildred Burnett and Robert Burnett, trustees, of Sarasota, for $1.85 million. Built in 1984, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,933 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $549,000 in 2014.

The Condominium on the Bay

Kathleen Barclay, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the Unit 704 condominium at 888 Blvd. of the Arts to Robert Liberatore and Debra Kraft, trustees, of Sarasota, for $1.65 million. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,729 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $905,000 in 2017.

Burns Court Villas

Noland Mackenzie Canter III and Rhoda Whitlock Canter, of Falls Church, Virginia, sold their Unit 2 condominium at 1526 Selby Lane to Margaret Eldred, trustee, of Swanton, Ohio, for $1.5 million. Built in 2006, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 1,910 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,225,000 in 2021.

One Watergate

Michele Etzel and Edward Renn, trustees, sold the Unit PH-A condominium at 1111 N. Gulfstream Ave. to Christopher and Kelly Jacobs, of Sarasota, for $1,375,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,577 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $610,000 in 2010.

Lawrence Pointe

Bache Investments LLC sold the Unit 201 condominium at 97 Sunset Drive to Atul Gupta, of W. Bloomfield, Michigan, for $1,125,000. Built in 1978, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,522 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $635,000 in 2021.

Laurel Street

Wheeler Capital LLC sold the home at 1841 Laurel St. to Jennifer Petresky, of Sarasota, for $1.1 million. Built in 1922, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 958 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $622,500 in 2021.

Bay Haven

Craig Emden and Alysa McDaniel, trustees, of Bethesda, Maryland, sold the home at 904 Virginia Drive to The Real Estate Parking Co. for $1 million. Built in 1941, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,839 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $730,000 in 2020.

Bret and Paige Patman, of Front Royal, Virginia, sold their home at 978 Tennessee Lane to Kirby Matthews and Cameron Kalkman, of Englewood, Colorado, for $425,000. Built in 1950, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,011 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $245,000 in 2019.

Susan Byron, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 1233 14th St. to Charles and Kimsey Ruggiero, of Sarasota, for $960,000. Built in 1956, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,916 square feet of living area. It sold for $282,000 in 2020.

Herbert and Norma Harman sold their Unit 202 condominium at 11 Sunset Drive to James and Lois Champy, of Rye, New Hampshire, for $950,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,389 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $327,500 in 2011.

Niptuck LLC sold the Unit 302 condominium at 205 Golden Gate Point to Anne Fenton and John Fenton, of Sarasota, for $895,000. Built in 1996, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,480 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $825,000 in 2021.

Granada

Alex Sivitilli, of Ontario, Canada, sold the home at 3617 Jacinto Court to Andrew Ager, of Atlanta, for $850,000. Built in 1953, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,084 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $250,000 in 2015.

Sapphire Shores

Jeffrey Weber and Linda Olsen Weber, trustees, of New York City, sold the home at 480 Acacia Drive to Carol Billman and William Norman III, of Nokomis, for $749,000. Built in 1951, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,479 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $479,000 in 2007.

The Villas at Eagles Point

John and Virginia Costenbader sold their Unit 1713 condominium at 1713 Starling Drive to David Mayson Brooks and Martha Irene Brooks, of Sarasota, for $615,000. Built in 1992, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,172 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $495,000 in 2020.

Nicholas James Crouch and Courtney Marie Crouch, of Sarasota, sold their home at 2437 Clematis St. to Raymond David Mays, of Sarasota, for $610,000. Built in 1960, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,728 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $150,000 in 2018.

Reed and Anne Marie Schachte, of Tallahassee, sold their home at 2966 Bougainvillea St. to David Nunes and Maria Alejandra Parker-Nunez, of Sarasota, for $546,000. Built in 1965, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,597 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $172,500 in 2010.

Sean Patrick Martin and Lisa Gail Hart, of Melrose, Massachusetts, sold their home at 2431 Parson Lane to Stephen Ryan and Deanna Dimino, of Red Bank, New Jersey, for $415,000. Built in 1956, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,329 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $289,000 in 2019.

Manuel and Teresa Hernandez, of Sarasota, sold their home at 1920 Ninth St. to Vicente Manuel Zequeira, of Sarasota, for $510,000. Built in 1973, it has four bedrooms, two baths and 1,492 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $47,000 in 1999.

Highland Pines

Claire Dowling and Melvin Anthony Reid sold their home at 845 Highland St. to Peixoto Investments LLC for $510,000. Built in 1961, it has two bedrooms, one-and-a-half baths and 1,106 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $450,000 in 2021.

Long Meadow

Tavia Lauren Ames, of Sarasota, sold three properties at 2069 Bougainvillea St. to Huntland Homes LLC for $500,000. The first property was built in 1957, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 1,945 square feet of living area. The second property was built in 1972, it has one bedroom, one bath and 616 square feet of living area. The third property was built in 1975, it has one bedroom, one bath and 616 square feet of living area.  It previously sold for $250,000 in 2007.

Jansen Wood and Jessica Nichols, of Okeechobee, sold their home at 3070 Hatton St. to Bahia Vista Ventures LLC for $481,000. Built in 1957, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,425 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $275,000 in 2019.

Richard and Pamela Mones, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 802 condominium at 750 N. Tamiami Trail to Joyce Berger, of Sarasota, for $450,000. Built in 2001, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,000 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $191,000 in 2009.

Douglas Bracy and Marilyn Chapman, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 103 condominium at 5241 Heron Way to Mark Owades and Kim Cooper, of Sarasota, for $440,000. Built in 1986, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,712 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $320,000 in 2016.

D Balot Investments LLC sold the home at 368 Canal Road to Robert Bartlett, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, for $1,375,000. Built in 1950, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,813 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,031,300 in 2021.

Lori Logue and Stephen Halleck, of Lecanto, sold their home at 111 Faubel St. to Benjamin Coggins III, of Sarasota, for $1.35 million. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,596 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $745,000 in 2019.
