SEASON OF SHARING: CAP Brand Marketing

When Roxanne Joffe was trying to come up with ideas for a company Christmas gift, she decided she wanted to do something creative for her clients.

“I wanted to make the holidays meaningful as a company,” Joffe says. “I wanted to find a creative way to do the most good.”

She decided to send greeting cards to all her clients to inform them that CAP Brand Marketing would be making donations to Season of Sharing in their names.

“We could have just written a check ourselves and donated it,” Joffe says, “but this makes a bigger impact, because it exposes our clients to the cause.”

Joffe has donated to Season of Sharing privately for the past three years. She traces her philanthropic nature to her upbringing. She was raised in South Africa, and her parents stressed from a young age the importance of sharing with less-fortunate people.

Carrying that spirit with her today, Joffe says she’s most impressed by the way in which Season of Sharing brings people of the community together for one cause.

“The amount of community collaboration is unprecedented,” Joffe says. “All of the money goes directly to the beneficiaries, and everyone is just trying to figure out how to do the most good — it’s really impressive.”

Season of Sharing is an 11-year, community-wide fundraising partnership created by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
