+ Mourning doves feel right at home
This mourning dove and her baby chick (bottom left) are nesting in a hanging flower basket just 3 feet from the front door of the Emerald Harbour home of Carol Camiener and Jim Herrington. The couple said mourning doves frequent the nest in the adjacent patio but are never as close as this one. The parent birds take turns sitting in the nest.
