The Rosemary District in Sarasota gets a vivid new chapter this March as Divergent Image Gallery becomes David Steiner Gallery & Studio, a contemporary space focused on large-scale painting, figurative work, and visual storytelling. For over 30 years, Sarasota artist David Steiner has created a distinctive blend of figurative and abstract paintings alongside refined photography projects inspired by the city’s light and character.

From Thursday, March 12 through Saturday, March 14, 5–8 PM, guests are invited to a three-evening opening to experience the reimagined gallery and Steiner’s latest work. The new collection pairs vibrant, richly textured large-scale canvases with curated photographic series, creating a layered dialogue between painting and photography in one immersive space.

Set in the heart of Sarasota’s Rosemary District, the gallery reflects the neighborhood’s creative energy and growing art scene. Whether you’re a collector, a fan of contemporary figurative and abstract art, or drawn to thoughtful photography, this reopening invites you to experience a fresh view of Sarasota art from an artist who has called the city home for more than three decades.
