Crash snarls Sarasota traffic on U.S. 41 near Bahia Vista

Southbound lanes are closed at Floyd Street, police say.

Sarasota Police and fire-rescue units are working at the scene of a traffic crash on U.S. 41 at Bahia Vista Street, and southbound lanes are closed.

Sarasota Police said drivers should avoid the area.

Southbound lanes were shut down around 8:15 a.m. at Floyd Street, between Bahia Vista and the Sarasota Memorial Hospital campus.
