The town of Longboat Key would like to see photos that capture the beauty and tranquility of island life for potential statewide publication.

Residents, visitors and other members of the community are encouraged to submit digital images that might end up on the cover of the 2026-27 membership directory for the Florida City and County Management Association and the organization’s digital sites.

Deadline is 4 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9.

Photos must be in the .jpg format, be unedited other than cropping and be free of watermarks, date stamps or signatures. Entries are limited to one per person, with a maximum of three photos per entry.

The town’s communications staff will review all submissions and select five finalist photographs. The town’s management team will then vote to determine the final image submitted to FCCMA on behalf of the town. Photos will be judged on the basis of  representation of Longboat Key life; visual appeal and composition; originality and creativity and overall quality.

The selected photographer will be recognized by the town when the photo is featured and will receive photo credit on the town’s social media platforms.

A single photo will be chosen by the FCCMA for its use. As a condition of entry, photographers will grant the town of Longboat Key a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use the image for governmental, promotional, educational, and public information purposes with photographer credit provided when feasible.

Email entries  to [email protected] and include your name for photo credit.
