Longbeach Villagers parade, party to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
Residents of Longbeach Village transform Longboat Key into an emerald isle for occasion

St. Patrick’s Day in Longbeach Village is a cause for celebration. Residents rode bicycles, drove golf carts and walked together in a parade on Saturday, March 14 to commemorate the holiday. The parade route began on Broadway Street before coming to a finish on Magnolia Road. Following the parade participants and residents gathered at the waterfront property of Cathy and Craig Meldahl to continue the festivities.
Beneath the banyan tree neighbors enjoyed a meal of corned beef and cabbage catered by Harry’s Continental Kitchen. For dessert guests brought their favorite dishes to share.
