Sarasota police arrested four men and seized drugs, guns and money following the execution of a search warrant Friday.
The search was conducted after residents in the area complained of drug sales at 1083 Colleton Dr., according to a Sarasota Police Department release. The SPD narcotics unit, SWAT team, street crimes unit and patrol division collaborated to conduct the search, during which detectives seized the following:
+ 264.6 grams of powder cocaine
+ 41 grams of rock cocaine
+ 32.7 grams of hydromorphone
+ 25.9 grams of heroin
+ 25.4 grams of oxycodone
+ 9.2 grams of marijuana
+ 2 semi-automatic handguns
+ $6,832 in cash
Officers charged Robert Gambles Jr., Tavaris Edwards, Wayne Goff Jr. and Johnnie Lang with a variety of drug possession and trafficking offenses.
“Neighborhood reports were that this home and the people living there were operating an around the clock drug business,” SPD Lt. Pat Ledwith said. “We hope these arrests have a major impact on the quality of life for this neighborhood and the people who live there.”
