Sheriff's Office charges suspect in Pinecraft murder

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Dushon Robinson March 27, one week after finding a dead body in the Pinecraft Amish Community.

Deputies charged Robinson with second-degree murder for fatally stabbing Steven Palasz, with evidence from forensic technicians that found the body, phone records and witness statements.

A neighbor told deputies the two had been in a physical altercation because Palasz was acting belligerent and screaming profanities near a trailer on the 1300 block of File Avenue. Robsinson ordered the neighbor to call another trailer park resident to take him home, according to the arrest report.
