Top residential real estate sales for April 8-12 in Sarasota, Siesta Key, Palmer Ranch, Osprey, Nokomis

A Casey Key home tops the week's sales at $5.6 million.

A home on Casey Key tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Frank and Martha Forward sold their home at 2006 Casey Key Road to Jeffrey King, of Monaco, for $5.6 million. Built in 2008, it has five bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,810 square feet of living area. It sold for $2.8 million in 2006. 


 

Sarasota

The Tower Residences

Maribeth Heffron, Kevin Harbour and Timothy Heffron, trustees, of Cedar, Michigan, sold the Unit 805 condominium at 35 Watergate Drive to Steven and Cheryl Schwarzwaelder, of Sarasota, for $3,575,000. Built in 2003, it has four bedrooms, four baths and 3,659 square feet of living area. It sold for $2,515,000 in 2017.


Quail Drive

Douglas and Amey Smith, of Sarasota, sold their home at 1509 Quail Drive to Kenneth Wayne Blume and Jessica Landrus Blume, of Sarasota, for $3,425,000. Built in 2020, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,264 square feet of living area. It sold for $2.1 million in 2021.


Lake Club

Cecile Lee Upshaw and Sheila Ann Upshaw, of Franklin, Tennessee, sold their home at 1706 Spring Creek Drive to Kathleen Rudolph, trustee, of Sarasota, for $2,925,000. Built in 2017, it has three bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 3,446 square feet of living area. It sold for $1,575,000 in 2020.


Floyd & Cameron

Richard and Louann Kitchell, of Sarasota, sold their home at 1822 Loma Linda St.to Robert and Ellen Beth Knapp, of Sarasota, for $2,285,000. Built in 2018, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,551 square feet of living area. It sold for $1.45 million in 2020.


Sarabande

Richard and Barbara Bailey, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 33 condominium at 340 S. Palm Ave. to David and Carol McClenahan, of Sarasota, for $2.24 million. Built in 1998, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 2,437 square feet of living area. It sold for $1,125,000 in 2010.


Mark Sarasota

Hollandia Property Group LLC sold the Unit 812 condominium at 111 S. Pineapple Ave. to Victoria Phillips, of Sarasota, for $1.77 million. Built in 2019, it has two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,559 square feet of living area. It sold for $1.25 million in 2021.

Afzal Tarar and Maria Celada, of Miami, sold their Unit 920 condominium at 111 S. Pineapple Ave. to Young Ho Chang and Jung-Yeon Sandy Chang, of Vienna, Virginia, for $1,595,000. Built in 2019, it has two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,498 square feet of living area. It sold for $1.3 million in 2022.


The Landings

Stephen Front and Ann Mitchell Front, of Sarasota, sold their home at 4975 Peregrine Point Way to Philip and Kathleen Kercher, of Sarasota, for $1.65 million. Built in 1981, it has four bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,768 square feet of living area. It sold for $312,000 in 1994.


Burns Court Villas

Patricia Austin, trustee, sold the Unit 22 condominium at 557 S. Palm Ave. to Howard and Sherry Davis, of Sarasota, for $1.55 million. Built in 2007, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,052 square feet of living area. It sold for $1 million in 2016.


The Condominium on the Bay

William Gaylor III, as Personal Representative, of Venice, sold the Unit 1108 condominium at 888 Blvd. of the Arts to Peter Mebel, of Newton, Massachusetts, for $1.19 million. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,642 square feet of living area. It sold for $355,000 in 1999.

David Alan Daffner and Christopher Landon Daffner, trustees, of Westminster, South Carolina, sold the Unit 608 condominium at 888 Blvd. of the Arts to Leslie Gray, of Ft. Worth, Texas, for $1,041,400. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,642 square feet of living area. It sold for $217,000 in 1997.


Poinsettia Park

Barbara Johnson, trustee, and Richard Johnson, of Sarasota, sold the home at 1800 Webber St. to M&J Pham Development LLC for $1.15 million. Built in 1954, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,406 square feet of living area.


The Landings Treehouse

Stephen Kaye and Susan Switkin Kaye, of Fairfax, Virginia, sold their Unit 9 condominium at 1335 Landings Drive to Ernest Matjasic, trustee, of Sarasota, for $1.12 million. Built in 1982, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,372 square feet of living area. It sold for $242,000 in 1993. 


Desota Park

Donald and Suzanne Hohman sold their home at 1824 Hyde Park St. to Daniel Ray Despot and Braden Despot, trustees, of Vestavia, Alabama, for $1.07 million. Built in 1948, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,348 square feet of living area. It sold for $320,000 in 2013.

Brian Mariash, of Sarasota, sold his Unit 7 condominium at 1826 Hawkins Court to Ann Colman, trustee, of Sarasota, for $950,000. Built in 2017, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,931 square feet of living area. It sold for $745,000 in 2020.

Mauricio Cueva-Eguiguren, Paulina Cueva-Eguiguren and Maria Del Carmen Cueva sold their Unit 605 condominium at 1771 Ringling Blvd. to Mary Jo Meyer, trustee, of Sarasota, for $909,000. Built in 2006, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,483 square feet of living area. It sold for $495,000 in 2017.

Sally Smith Clemens, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the Unit 401 condominium at 635 S. Orange Ave. to Jonathan Michael Briggs, of Sarasota, for $775,000. Built in 2017, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,013 square feet of living area. It sold for $652,900 in 2017.

Susan Stewart, of Scituate, Massachusetts, sold her Unit 902 condominium at 800 N. Tamiami Trail to David and Debra Englander, of New York City, for $732,500. Built in 2007, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,323 square feet of living area. It sold for $407,000 in 2017.


South Gate

Les and Sue Fox, of Sarasota, sold their home at 2748 Wisteria Place to Alexander Quintero and Kathryn Wolfe-Quintero, of Sarasota, for $650,000. Built in 1958, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,516 square feet of living area. It sold for $525,000 in 2022.

Lee Newhart, of Sarasota, sold her home at 2835 Bougainvillea St. to Jesse Osborne and Christina Coon, of Sarasota, for $640,000. Built in 1959, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,435 square feet of living area.


Phillippi Landings

Susan Horrigan, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the Unit 503 condominium at 5591 Cannes Circle to Michael Richard O’Keefe, of Sarasota, for $625,000. Built in 2006, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,706 square feet of living area. It sold for $399,000 in 2016.


Flora Villa

Teresa Ann Esper, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 4519 Olive Ave. to Dong Hun Nguyen and Phuong Lan-Thi Pham, of Dearborn, Michigan, for $612,000. Built in 2000, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,872 square feet of living area. It sold for $278,100 in 2016.


Robin Hood Woods

Joe and Ada Weaver, of Dundee, Ohio, sold their home at 963 S. Rhodes Ave. to Jason and Anna Schlabach, of Columbus, North Carolina, for $585,000. Built in 1971, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,185 square feet of living area. It sold for $106,000 in 2013.


Gulf Gate Woods

Christopher Scott Jivoin sold the home at 7566 Biltmore Drive to Ieva Navarro, of Sarasota, for $540,800. Built in 1975, it has four bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,909 square feet of living area. It sold for $315,000 in 2020.


South Gate Manor

Joseph and Maranda Kles, of Sarasota, sold their home at 3229 Bougainvillea St. to Marion Almy, of Sarasota, for $500,000. Built in 1962, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,426 square feet of living area. It sold for $265,000 in 2019.



Siesta Key

Island House

6148 Midnight Pass LLC sold the Unit 1-S condominium at 6148 Midnight Pass Road to Dennis and Natalie Hartunian, of Scottsdale, Arizona, for $1,825,000. Built in 1967, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,376 square feet of living area. It sold for $203,500 in 1987.


Siesta Manor

Marianne Thomas, trustee, of Paul Thomas, sold the home at 335 Avenida Milano to Roderick Leyden and Jacqueline Leyden, trustees, of Nashotah, Wisconsin, for $1.8 million. Built in 1960, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,900 square feet of living area. It sold for $835,000 in 2017.


Sarasota Beach

FLRWT LLC sold the home at 459 Avenida De Mayo to Eugene and Colleen Schlenk, of Sarasota, for $1,725,000. Built in 1996, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 1,805 square feet of living area. It sold for $899,000 in 2018.

Margaret Raab, of Sarasota, sold two properties at 357 Island Circle to Jeffrey an Jamie Hanretty, of Utica, New York, for $1.3 million. The first property was built in 1972 and has two bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,300 square feet of living area. The second property was built in 1993 and has one bedroom, one bath and 384 square feet of living area. 


Crystal Sands

Robert Elliot, trustee, of Bradenton, sold the Unit 507 condominium at 6300 Midnight Pass Road to Ashley Miranda McCurdy and Steven John McCurdy, of Columbus, Ohio, for $1.35 million. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,271 square feet of living area. It sold for $195,000 in 1991.


Siesta Gulf View

Victor Jochem and Christine Auch, of Columbus, Ohio, Richard Jochem, of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, Ingrid Mayyasi, of Sudbury, Massachusetts, sold their Unit 505 condominium at 420 Beach Road to Lucy and Joseph Brightwell, of Louisville, Kentucky, for $1.35 million. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,316 square feet of living area. It sold for $205,000 in 1987.


Gulf and Bay Club

Daniel McCarthy III, trustee, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, sold the Unit 304 condominium at 5740 Midnight Pass Road to Susan Schwartz, trustee, of Sarasota, for $1,195,000. Built in 1986, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,337 square feet of living area. It sold for $272,000 in 1989.

Laura and Ward Kenney, of Cleveland, South Carolina, sold their Unit 604 condominium at 5780 Midnight Pass Road to Advantage Sarasota LLC for $1,135,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,361 square feet of living area. It sold for $715,000 in 2018.

Rosemary Ann Falk, trustee, of Hudson, Illinois, sold the Unit 605 condominium at 5880 Midnight Pass Road to John David Schuman and Ann-Margaret Schuman, of Columbus, Ohio, for $1,155,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,498 square feet of living area. It sold for $552,000 in 2012. 


Crescent Royale

Rickard Ovin and Eva Katarina Ovin, of Sweden, sold their Unit 5-D condominium at 777 Beach Road to Commodore Vacation Holdings LLC for $885,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,174 square feet of living area. It sold for $595,000 in 2017.

Robert and Andrea Arends, of Troy, Michigan, sold their Unit 306-B condominium at 8735 Midnight Pass Road to Richard Dewey King Jr. and Janice Rosemary King, of Sarasota, for $735,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,357 square feet of living area. It sold for $600,000 in 2019.

Daniel and Lynda Fiorelli, of Waleska, Georgia, sold their home at 7844 Andora Drive to Michael and Kelly Massey, of Sarasota, for $500,000. Built in 2004, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,846 square feet of living area. It sold for $250,000 in 2014.

Richard Lee, trustee, of Los Altos Hills, California, sold the home at 1704 Casey Key Road to Germaine Gross, of Nokomis, for $4.4 million. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, four-and-two-half baths, a pool and 6,435 square feet of living area. It sold for $6.7 million in 2005.
