Jane Jenkins, of Lutz, sold her home at 6291 Gulf of Mexico Drive in the Sleepy Lagoon subdivision to Thomas and Deborah Degnan, of Thiensville, Wis., for $3.3 million. Built in 1962 and remodeled in 1994, the three-bedroom, two-bath, Gulfside home has 2,041 square feet of living space. It last sold for $4.6 million in February 2006. The sale was the largest transaction recorded at the Manatee and Sarasota county courthouses during the week of May 24 through May 28. Sales for the week fell to 10 from last week’s total of 22.
Of this week’s sales, six took place on Longboat Key, including three on the northern, Manatee County side of the island, two occurred on Lido Key, and one sale each was consummated on St. Armands and Bird keys. Two of the week’s sales exceeded $1 million.
Demos and Helen Panos, of Dexter, Mich., sold Unit G7-201-B at 1935 Gulf of Mexico Drive in Unit VI of the 461-unit Seaplace to Julienne Haley, of Nashville, Tenn., for $555,000. Built in 1979, the three-bedroom, two-bath condominium has 1,492 square feet of living area. The unit last sold for $267,500 in November 1990.
Angelo and Alberto Anaclerio, 3555 Fair Oaks Lane, sold Unit 2047 in Building F at Harbour Links, located behind the Harbourside gates of the Longboat Key Club and Resort, to Norman and Sandra Bettis, of Bloomington, Ill., for $475,000. Built in 1999, the 2,398-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. It last sold for $600,000 in April 2004.
Mary Jo Sandberg, as ancillary personal representative of the estate of Elizabeth Showers, of Ann Arbor, Mich., sold Unit 304 in Building 6, Unit II of the 336-unit Beachplace, 1109 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Stephen and Betty Beaty, of St. Joseph, Mich., for $420,000. Built in 1981, the 1,503-square-foot condominium has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $178,500 in December 1990.
Frederick and Jean Carleton, of Bradenton, sold Apartment 305 at the 72-unit Westchester Apartments, 4825 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Martha and Terence McGovern, also of Bradenton, for $300,000. Built in 1970, the two-bedroom, one-bath unit has 1,393 square feet of air-conditioned living space.
Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp., of Carrollton, Texas, sold Unit T-28 at the 80-unit Sutton Place, located in the 4300 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Susan and Steven Asroff, of Salem, Ill., for $155,000. Built in 1972, the one-bedroom, one-bath condominium has 510 square feet of living space. It last sold for $120,100 in December 2009.
Terrier Inc., an Ontario, Canada, corporation by merger to 1581892 Ontario Ltd., a Canadian corporation, sold the vacant lot at 765 Tyler Drive on Lido Key to ZRS Partners LLC, a Florida limited-liability company with a Sarasota address registered to Kathryn Carr, of Sarasota. The sale price was $1.25 million. Troy Myers Jr. signed the deed of the sale for Terrier Inc. The property last sold for $1.4 million in July 2003, when it had a three-bedroom, three-bath, 3,350-square-foot home on site.
At Lido Surf & Sand, 1100 Benjamin Franklin Drive, Zsuzsanna Delneky, of Sarasota, sold Unit 505 to Monica Villaverde, 1001 Benjamin Franklin Drive, for $225,000. Built in 1976, the one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath unit has 918 square feet of air-conditioned space. It last sold for $120,000 in November 1996.
Edwin and Rosalie Wheeler sold their home at 242 Robin Drive on Bird Key to Thomas Malone, of Grosse Ile, Mich., for $590,000. Built in 1961, the 2,498-square-foot home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a swimming pool. The home last sold for $630,000 in September 2003.
St. Armands Key
Sandra and G. Loring Carlson Jr., of Harrisburg, N.C., sold their home at 233 Blvd. of the Presidents in the St. Armands Division of the John Ringling Estates to Ashwini and Leslie Bahl, of Plant City, for $390,000. Built in 1957, the 1,565-square-foot home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
