Kiddie Academy celebrates Halloween

Students at Kiddie Academy dressed up in costumes and went trick-or-treating during the school's Halloween parade this morning. Following the parade, each of the classrooms enjoyed a Halloween party complete with games, crafts and an array of treats.
Youths celebrate drug-free pledge with dance

After pledging to be drug and violence free, students at Braden River Middle School danced the night at the school's Red Ribbon Dance Oct. 29.
Tara students show spirit with Pajama Day

Students from Tara Elementary School crawled out of bed and into school this morning for Pajama Day. The special occasion is part of Spirit Week, which runs Oct. 27-30. So far, students have also enjoyed Sports Day and Red Ribbon Day. Costume Day is Friday.

Preschoolers parade in costume

Dozens of preschoolers at Goddard Preschool in Lakewood Ranch dressed up in Halloween costumes and paraded around the school Oct. 28. Following the parade, students painted pumpkins, played games and snacked on Halloween candy, popcorn and other treats.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
