Stacy Lahdenpera named School-Related Employee of the Year

Stacy Lahdenpera was named Sarasota County Schools’ overall 2024 School-Related Employee of the Year on Feb. 29, a designation that comes with a sweet perk.

Lahdenpera will enjoy a free two-year lease on a 2024 black Ford Bronco Sport and dinner at the Le Mans Kitchen, which is located at the Sarasota Ford dealership at 707 S. Washington Blvd. The award was made possible through a partnership between Sarasota Ford and Tandem Construction.

Lahdenpera is the administrative assistant to the principal of Riverview High School.

The Florida Department of Education’s School-Related Employee of the Year program recognizes outstanding education support personnel for their contributions to their schools and districts. 

The program honors one state representative and four finalists from the 67 school districts in Florida. Support personnel who serve at the school or district level are eligible, including teacher aides, library aides, bookkeepers, bus drivers, food service staff and custodians.
