Manatee County will host three public workshops on its master plan for county parks this November.

At the meetings, park lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will hear an update on the parks plan and provide their feedback. The Parks Master Plan will provide a 15-year blueprint the county intends to use to develop and maximize recreation and open space amenities. Parks officials expect to complete the plan by next year.

“As we work to identify needs for new parks and recreational opportunities, we are excited to share a draft plan of action that brings together public input and suggestions we have received into a blueprint for future park development,” said Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources Department Director Charlie Hunsicker in a press release.

The Parks Master Plan meeting schedule is as follows:

Monday, Nov. 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Central Library, 1301 Barcarrota Blvd. West, Bradenton;

Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Parrish YMCA, 12214 U.S. 301 North, Parrish; and

Thursday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at John H. Marble Recreation Complex, 3675 53rd Ave. East, Bradenton.
