Baseball

Cardinal Mooney beat Bradenton Christian 8-0 on March 14. Dalton Plattner went five innings, racked up five strikeouts and got the win for the Cougars. Cardinal Mooney then tied The Out-of-Door Academy 1-1 after 12 innings on March 15. Paul Labriola had the Cougars' lone RBI against the Thunder. 

Sarasota lost to First Academy 3-0 on March 14. Nick Winkelmeyer went 2-4 in the loss. The Sailors then beat Boone (Orlando) 9-2 on March 15. Alex Arauz went 4-5 with an RBI. Sarasota scored six unearned runs in the win. 

Riverview beat Palmetto 2-1 on March 14. Mark Townsend went 2-3 with a double and an RBI for the Rams. 

Boys Basketball

Booker seniors Eunique Arnold and Sam Evans, Riverview seniors AJ Caldwell and Brion Whitley, Cardinal Mooney seniors Richard Krupa and Jordan McNeal and Sarasota High seniors Emmanuel Lambright and Landon Koven will represent Sarasota in the 2017 Sarasota-Manatee Boys and Girls All-Star Game on March 25 at Sarasota High. The event benefits the Kyle Jutras Scholarship Foundation. 

Girls Basketball

Booker seniors Dimi Anderson and Cellexia Foster, Sarasota High seniors Jada Bennett, Josie LeBlanc and Madison Pack, Riverview seniors Amanda Dischinger, Gabie Simunovic and Brionna Newell, and Cardinal Mooney senior Jacqueline Kulle will represent Sarasota in the in the 2017 Sarasota-Manatee Boys and Girls All-Star Game on March 25 at Sarasota High. The event benefits the Kyle Jutras Scholarship Foundation.
