Softball

Lakewood Ranch beat Braden River 7-1. Logan Newton threw a complete game with seven strikeouts for the Mustangs, and Kailey Christian hit a home run. 

Baseball

Lakewood Ranch beat Braden River 5-1. Pablo Garabitos went the distance with nine strikeouts and zero earned runs (1 run) for the Mustangs. 

Basketball

Lakewood Ranch boys seniors Sam Hester, Justin Muscara and Devin Twenty, and Braden River seniors Deoni Cason and Curtis Cobb will represent Manatee County in the 2017 Sarasota-Manatee Boys and Girls All-Star Game at Sarasota High on March 25. The game benefits the Kyle Jutras Scholarship Foundation.

The Out-of-Door Academy senior Nate Patrick will represent the Sarasota team at the event. 

Lacrosse

The Out-of-Door Academy girls team beat Tampa Catholic 15-5. Sereena Feeney scored four goals for the Thunder. 

Golf

Kim Brown (170) was named the club champion at the Ladies' Golf Association Club Championship at University Park Country Club. 

Bob Goldman hit a hole-in-one on the fourth hole of Palm Aire Country Club's Lakes Course on March 13. He used a 4-rescue club for the 148-yard shot. 

Bill Schulz (10) won Palm Aire Country Club's Men's Golf Association quota points event on March 13.
