Tara to receive new principal

Freedom Elementary's Laura Campbell will lead Tara starting July 1.

The Manatee County School District has announced new principals at four elementary and one middle school, including one in East County.

Next school year, Tara Elementary School will be led by Laura Campbell, currently the assistant principal at Freedom Elementary.

The change becomes effective July 1.

Tara’s current principal, Steve Royce, has accepted a principal position in Sarasota County.
