March 25

WITHOUT A PADDLE
Noon — 0 block of Bayfront Drive
Theft: A man reported that two oars had been stolen out of his boat. He told an officer that he leaves his boat on the shoreline, flipped over, with the oars underneath. The man had just gotten off work and was taking his boat out and discovered they had gone missing at some point during the previous 12 hours. There were no witnesses, and no video footage of the incident was available.

March 26

TRASHING AROUND
8:26 a.m. — 1700 block of 23rd Street
Suspicion: A woman found trash in her yard, and informed officers that she believed her neighbor intentionally placed it there to be disrespectful toward her. The woman did not witness the neighbor committing the act, and the neighbor denied throwing the trash into the woman’s yard. An officer picked up the trash, placed it in a bag and put it in the appropriate bin.

March 27

CLEARING THE BAR
4:09 p.m. — 1900 block of Main Street
Trespass: An employee at a bar made a complaint regarding a man disrupting the business. An officer arrived on the scene and saw the man standing next to the bar outside, yelling at customers sitting at the bar. The employee said the man has been trespassed in the past, but refused to leave when asked. The officer gave the man a summons to appear in court, and the man agreed to leave the area.

GETTING THE DIRT
5:15 p.m. — 1900 block of Panama Drive
Suspicion: A man reported that there were several individuals riding dirt bikes on an open lot next to his house. The man asked the bikers to stop, and they agreed — but a few minutes later, another individual rode a dirt bike through the field again. When officers arrived on the scene, the man said the individuals had just put the dirt bikes away a few moments earlier.

March 28

TAKEN FOR GRANTED
9:20 p.m. — 2100 block of North Washington Boulevard
Suspicion: An employee at a store said she believed a man was stealing merchandise. She said she saw a man attempting to stuff several items into his pants. The employee showed officers surveillance footage, but the officers did not see any illegal activity. The employee did not know what items the man actually took.
