1 — Cardinal Mooney striker Alex Turner scored two goals Jan. 14 to become the Cougars all-time single season leading scorer with 36 goals.

2 — Brion Whitley scored 35 points to help the Riverview High boys basketball team beat Tampa Riverview 70-58 Jan. 15 and clinch the No.1 seed in the Class 8A-District 6 tournament.

3 — Emmanuel Lambright contributed 23 points and seven rebounds as the Cardinal Mooney boys basketball team knocked off Berkeley Prep, ranked No. 7 in the state, 63-60 in overtime Jan. 15.

4 — Riverview junior Patrick Skladanowski scored a hat trick and added an assist to power the the boys soccer team to an 8-0 victory versus Booker Jan. 12.

5 — Cellexia Foster finished with 27 points, four assists and four steals, as the Booker High girls basketball team cruised to a 54-29 victory versus Manatee Jan. 13.
